“It is a great source of spiritual power to live lives of integrity and righteousness and to keep our eyes on where we want to be in the eternities.” —Dieter F. Uchtdorf
EverLDS was created to help “keep our eyes on where we want to be in the eternities.” As the name of the site denotes, we are determined to be forever LDS and the articles and products found here are a continual reminder of this dedication.
While EverLDS supports the mission of the Church, it is not affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Who’s Behind the Digital Curtain
In the late 1990s Chad Winks and Paul Wilson were missionary companions in the Great Riverside California Mission. They quickly became friends and later, while in college, they became roommates. It was then that the genesis of EverLDS was born.
From their late night gospel discussions they began applying their unique talents in design (Chad) and marketing (Paul) to different LDS entrepreneurship projects. Though not much came of these early on projects, they did serve as a catalyst into Chad’s and Paul’s respected careers.
Chad was the first to find a much better roommate (Jen) and move out. Paul eventually upgraded to his eternal roommate (Lindsey) and to both Paul’s and Chad’s relief Lindsey and Jen became great friends.
In the beginning of 2017 a video Chad created around his art piece on the Prophet Joseph Smith went viral gaining 450,000 views in just a few days. The success of Chad’s video helped convince him to look more seriously at selling his artwork. In March 2017 Chad and Paul officially created 2,000 Warriors LLC. However, it was important to Chad and Paul that they didn’t open up just another ecommerce store. They wanted a website that represented their deep faith and love for Jesus Christ. EverLDS.com was created to serve this desire.
Now, in conjunction with their day jobs, you’ll find Chad and Paul working hard on building the vision they had back when they were roommates.
More About Chad & Paul
Co-owner/VP of Beauty – Chad Winks
Chad swims in a world of ideas, and works hard to make his visions a reality, whether it be through fine art, comics, t-shirts, mobile applications, music, video and more. Chad is a family man first, and loves to go on numerous adventures with his wife and two beautiful children. They are currently traveling the United States in an RV full-time, experiencing the variety of theme parks, national parks, museums, temples, and other wonders of the USA. Chad is a professional User Experience Strategist and acts as a consultant for multi-billion dollar organizations, but his passion lies in the simple beauty of LDS and Christ-centered paintings, which encompasses his testimony.
You can find Chad’s work at EverLDS, Deseret Book, and galleries around the nation. His realistic depiction of Joseph Smith based on Joseph’s death mask, has been a viral sensation and has been featured on the news. The Gospel of Christ has literally changed his life from black to white after meeting with the missionaries when he was 20, and he continues to seek to bless others through his talents.
Co-owner/VP of Dreaming – Paul Wilson
Paul is an author, marketer, and eternal dreamer. He is the proud father of five small beautiful children (four girls and one boy). He lives in Harrisburg, North Carolina and is active in the missionary work as his Ward’s Mission Leader. Paul began his web career in 1999 doing internet marketing for MormonTown.org (which is now ran by Barton Golding as Latter-day Light). From there he went on to work with several global organizations doing digital marketing. Paul is excited to return to his marketing roots to get the word out on Chad Winks’s powerful and moving LDS artwork and to continue his efforts on sharing the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone.
Paul enjoys authoring children’s books, particularly for his own five “Munkas” and beautiful wife. Originally from Littleton, Colorado, Paul has lived all over the United States and finds beauty from the sandy desert floors of Moab, Utah to the snow capped mountain of Mauna Kea, Hawaii. He believes the Lord has a path for each of us and it is our calling in life to find it and live it.
